Tuesday (Martes en Espanol) we continued construction progress on the church, working alongside the Hatitian people and doing our best to break down the communication barriers that exist.  The local women made us a lunch of rice, noodles, avacaodos, and some meat (pretty sure it was chicken and it was quite tasty).  We did a lot of concrete work at the end of the day and managed to fit in a few games of futbol with the local children as well.  The reception from the people here has been amazing and it is very rewarding to see the impact a few people from Sioux Falls can have on our brothers and sisters in the Dominican.

Erich Schaffhauser did a great piece on the language gap, which ran tonight on KELO. Rather than trying to share our day in text, check it out below and watch for more photos to come!
