Dispatch recently sent a group of 6 people to the Dominican Republic with Resonate (formerly Christian Reformed World Missions) to come along side the local Haitian community to build a home for a pastor. The work was hard, the people were welcoming and new relationships were formed. Here are some reflections and pictures from a few of our trip participants.
Our trip was about so much more than building a house; it was about worshiping with the people, getting to know them on a personal level, and growing closer to God through service of, and with, others. In the process, we were able to help locals with the project of building a house for an incredibly selfless, deserving Pastor and his large family. Despite language barriers, it was such a blessing to work alongside, pray, and worship with people who praise the same God as me.

Having the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic through the Dispatch Project was an incredible, eye-opening experience. It was such a blessing to build relationships with so many different people and grow friendships I never would have imagined!
